Car accidents, people injured and killed - Comments by Brahm Hattingh

One victim left at the scene by paramedics. We can understand the circumstances. The victim walked 500meters away from the scene of the accident and was only found later by emergency personnel. Almost too late.

What about being a victim of life? Lets say that life is a road trip and you travel along happily until an accident happens. It is then that we want the rescue team to come quickly. No delays. Professional medical treatment is required immediately.

In the journey of life, there is but one paramedic with sufficient knowledge, experience and care, to provide the help needed. That is Jesus. When you are in real trouble in this life, turn to Jesus and rely on Him only for help. He will provide the answers for rescue and He will not leave any of His own patients behind, even if you walked away from Him for a while.

These encouraging words carry us:

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Strong winds are continuing to fan forest fires on the Canary Island of La Palma - Comments by Brahm Hattingh

Fire on its own is scary. When it is fanned by strong winds, then it becomes horror. Often when we hear of wind and fire, we think of the Holy Spirit, don’t we? The Holy Spirit at Pentecost appeared like flames of fire coming down from heaven onto the apostles. A sound as of a rushing wind is also often associated with the work of the Holy Spirit.

We must pray, Christians, that the fire of the Gospel will be fanned by the Holy Spirit so that our country will become ablaze with the experience of true revival. May we become a country filled with believers, ON FIRE for the Lord Jesus, and may you stay true to the course of life, God set for you.

Michael Schumacher, is the most successful formula 1 driver ever. Now, coming back, he brings experience and respect.

Do you have a Michael Schumacher in your life? Someone with vast experience and biblical knowledge?

Someone that you can respect for how they live?

Someone who can guide you through the challenges of life by showing you how to live biblically.

Zimbabwe's opposition leaders and generals, closer to reconciliation - Comments by Brahm Hattingh

Are there people in your life that you do not want to associate with? Whatever the reason. They insulted you, they treated you with disrespect. They spoke untruths about someone you care for.

Do you feel like the generals? Do you feel like never speaking to THAT person ever again?

Think of Psa 34:14 - Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

It may be time for you to seek peace with that person and in doing so, you will portray the character of Jesus.
